Identity before popularity

I did not pick that line because it sounded good on a hero image, although it does. I picked it because it is the actual order I try to make decisions in, identity first, whatever comes from it second.

It is easy to chase what is working for somebody else. A sound, a trend, a way of talking about yourself online. It is harder to sit with something true and let it be smaller for longer while it becomes real.

I would rather be the artist a smaller number of people actually turn to, than the artist a large number of people forget by the next trend. That is the whole bet this project is making.
